Philosophy and Approach:

Hi! My name is Leigh-Ann, and I am the owner at Abundantly More Nutrition.

I specialize in nutrition counseling for those who struggle with disordered eating patterns and/or diagnosed eating disorders. I also have a background in Exercise Physiology and Personal Training and enjoy working with athletes and teaching them how to fuel well. Additionally, as a mama of three littles, I enjoy counseling and supporting women in the prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum season(s) as they navigate increased nutritional needs, a growing and changing body, and learning to feed their babies while also caring for themselves.

My practice and philosophy are grounded in providing individualized support, education, and the tools and skills you need to care for yourself nutritionally, through a non-diet, HAES-aligned approach. Our work together will help you identify, challenge, and conquer any drawbacks in your relationship with food, your body size, and/or your ability to care for yourself through nutrition.

In our initial assessment and ongoing sessions, we will work together to assess your current relationship with food and your body, including, but not limited to disordered eating patterns, disordered exercise patterns, fear foods, food rules, overall diet mentality, poor self-image, and/or lack of self-care.

For athletes, we will work together to discuss current eating and exercise patterns and how to better promote and sustain increased activity through sufficiently meeting energy needs, making sure that rest, fuel, cross-training, and overall well-being are prioritized in the process.

For those in a season of desiring motherhood or currently going through the prenatal/pregnancy or postpartum seasons, we will discuss prioritizing nutritional needs and focusing on health-promoting behaviors to succeed in each stage of these seasons.

Additionally, in follow-up sessions, we will discuss previously set goals and progress towards these goals. Depending on the main objectives and goals at hand, I will support you in moving in a non-diet direction within your relationship with food and body. If needed, I will provide support through a structured, individualized meal plan as you learn to eat consistently, develop reliable hunger and fullness cues, and move towards learning to eat intuitively again.

Regardless of the current phase you are in, or any potential struggles you may be facing, together we will establish a plan that moves you towards health and healing. I desire for all of my clients to live a life that aligns with their personal values and is ultimately founded in freedom and NOT in rigid food patterns or in pursuing unrealistic beauty ideals.
